Chrome Beta for Android integrates Google Translate and full screen mode for tablets
The Chrome Beta browser for Android has just been updated to version 28, adding some very pleasant new features for the occasion, such as native translation via Google Translate or even full-screen mode for tablets. Two major features that put it largely at the level of the desktop version.
LATEST CHROME BETA UPDATE FOR ANDROID BRINGS GOOGLE TRANSLATE TRANSLATOR AND FULLSCREEN MODE FOR TABLETS
- Always ahead of the classic version of Chrome Mobile, Chrome Beta for Android has, since last night, five new features that now place it far ahead of its competitors, starting with:
- The introduction of full-screen mode on tablets. To make the toolbar disappear, simply scroll down the page you are viewing while browsing.
- Translation of pages in foreign languages via Google Translate on tablet and smartphone
- A new function called Data Saving which, as its name suggests, allows you to monitor your data consumption using a graph
- Fullscreen API support
- The addition of a more user-friendly error page specially designed for mobile platforms
An update to Chrome Beta for Android which is the same as that of the classic version of the mobile browser and which includes some new features such as full screen mode on phones, simplified research, the history of tabs visited on tablets (via a long press on the back key), all underlined by better stability of the application.
So many improvements that lead us to wonder why Chrome is not offered natively on the mobile platform instead of the default Android browser.
Both apps are available for free in the Play Store.
