Google Chrome is finally making progress on touch management
Google Chrome is now very popular all over the world, but the browser hasn’t built its popularity on touch support. Mean by this the tactile gestures which allow for example to return to the previous one or to go to the next one. It seems that change is finally happening.
It’s on the development version of Google Chrome, known as Canary, that it’s happening. You will thus be able to use several fingers to manage what is currently being done using the browser buttons. If the Google browser has the advantage of being very fast and able to synchronize with many devices, our Android terminals among others, support for touch is still far from being developed.

While we might have expected to see this kind of functionality arrive with the Chromebook Pixel which has a touchscreen, this has not been the case. The Google computer will still be one of the very first to benefit from these advances once they are sufficiently developed.In the meantime, you can install this Canary version yourself on your PC by going here. It can be installed in addition to the basic version of Google Chrome.
The two will not come into conflict, but keep in mind that the development version can be unstable. Among the novelties we also note the possibility of pinching to zoom in and out with two fingers on the PC version. We can’t wait to see this happen on our smartphones and tablets to make navigation easier and more intuitive. In the meantime, we will have to take our troubles patiently.
